Evenings--waxing sentimental

Your guilt lets you know who you are. I think it was Harry Crews who posited that sentiment. Mine keeps me up most evenings. I am currently engaged in the task, nay the duty, of staying clean in hopes of regaining a sense of dignity long since vanquished. Although the ghost of my former self still haunts me, perhaps it can be the catalyst to change...to become what I onced dreamed of. Human decency. Kindness. Friendship. Important values I seemed to have neglected in the past...

Dearest diary

Hopped around the job site Monday like a dithering idiot after having been assaulted (a result of shoddy foot work on my behalf) by a galvanized nail. Debated whether or not I should get a tetanus shot and finally decided against it since I am currently sans health insurance. Something I learned about tetanus in my research that may come of surprise: You can contract tetanus from open wounds caused by IV injection... So beware my fellow Morpheus enthusiasts!
